Positioning cushions are designed to create a correct positioning of the patient with an adequate distribution of loads. This is essential to prevent the onset of bedsores or other unwanted effects resulting from the prolonged maintenance of static positions, whether in bed or sitting. Some aids or the combined use of several of them allow these problems to be overcome.
